How much fun is it to live on campus in the dorms of an university?
I’m a college student at a community college, and plan to tranfer to a university once I raise my gpa. Have you ever experienced the dorm-life? How much fun is it? I’ve heard it’s a blast that you can’t miss.
It has good and bad. My two girls are away and love it. I know Im just a parent, but I’ll give you my perspective.
Good-no parents nagging, lots of social contacts, lots of planned activities, you get to live where there are new things to do and see, you get to grow up and learn to live on your own. You make all your own decisions.
Bad-too much temptation to party, expensive, no help from your parents-time to grow up. You have nobody to keep track of your appointments, important things to remember, you have to do it yourself and suffer the consequences if you don’t. You have to do your own laundry and budget your money (actually I consider that a good thing).
Both my girls have gone away and love it and are doing great.
