Where can I get a pre-made picnic basket in St. Louis?
I am planning my anniversary trip to st louis and we are staying in a hotel by Forest Park, and I want to go on a romantic picnic in the park but we are leaving right when I get done with class so is there anywhere in St. Louis that I can buy a premade lunch? Like with maybe wine and cheese or something romantic?
I can’t think of any places near the Central West End that have premade picnic baskets off the top of my head, but an idea might be to try Companion in the Central West End. They have really good, gourmet sandwiches and will make up a nice bag lunch. Doesn’t really help you with the wine part though.
Provisions out in Creve Coeur is another idea, but not really near where you will be. They have great sandwiches that you could have made up and Provisions is affiliated with the Wine and Cheese Place so they have a great selection of wines you could pair with it.
The Wine and Cheese place is another idea as they carry, you guessed it wine and cheese. They have a location in Clayton which is not too far from Forest Park and much closer than Provisions would be.
Depending on where you are near Forest Park, I’m assuming the Chase Park Plaza or nearby, you might also check out the Cupcakery for some dessert for your picnic, you won’t be sorry.
